75% students declared successful

SRINAGAR, Feb 8: 75 percent of students have passed the class 12 examination in Kashmir while the top positions in all the streams have been secured by girls with the highest marks obtained this year recorded as 499 out of a total 500.
As per details, 72180 candidates were enrolled to appear in the examination, out of which 54075 candidates were declared as successful across Kashmir in the annual class 12 examination held amid pandemic.
About the stream-wise details, in the science stream, Arusa Pavaiz of Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute, Naseem Bagh Srinagar has secured the first position with 499 marks out of 500, Simrah Hafeez of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Soura has secured the second position with 498 marks.
The third position in the stream has been shared by 5 students with 497 marks and includes Faiza Zahoor Tantry of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Rajbagh, Hadiya Rashid of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothi Bagh, Sakib Bashir Lone of St Joseph Higher Secondary School, Baramulla, Shah Rabika of New Dream Land Higher Secondary School, Ganderbal and Zainab Muneer of Islamia Higher Secondary School Srinagar.
From the Commerce stream, Tabinda Jan of Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute, Naseem Bagh Srinagar has secured the first position with 497 marks, while the second position has been shared by two students with 495 marks and includes, Rutba Bashir of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Amira Kadal and Saliq Ashraf Pushoo of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Anantnag with 495 marks.
In the stream, the third position has been shared by 4 students with 494 marks and includes, Bareen Altaf of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Nawa Kadal, Haliya Anees of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Budgam, Iqra Bashir of Green Valley, Srinagar and Numan Javaid of Govt M.P. M.L Higher Secondary School, Srinagar.
In the Arts stream, the first position has been shared by 3 students with 496 marks and includes, Adeebah Muzamil of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothi Bagh, Hafsa Yousuf of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Vernag and Suhail Ahmad Dar of Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Pulwama.
Similarly, the second position in the stream has been shared by 2 students with 495 marks and includes Afeefah Bashir of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothi Bagh and Sheema Yousuf of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kadipora Anantnag. The third position has been shared by 4 students in the stream with 494 marks and includes, Bazlah Firdous of Green Valley, Srinagar, Ridda Qadri of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Soura, Saddaf Farooq of Al Banat Educational Institute, Ganderbal and Sadiqa Rehman on Green Valley, Srinagar.
In the Home Science stream, the first position has been secured by Sahila Nabi of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kothi Bagh with 495 marks; the second position has been secured by Masrat Mushtaq of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Baramulla with 493 marks, while as the Bisma Yousuf has secured the third position with 492 marks.
Further, as per the details provided by the JKBOSE, out of total students who were declared successful, 23573 candidates have secured distinction, 20716 have secured first division, 9277 have figured in the second division, 509 in the third division, 17384 have been tagged as reappear while as 721 candidates have failed.
