Rajouri, Dec 24: A large number of girl students from Girls Higher Secondary School Rajouri and some other institutions of the town took out a protest rally and submitted a memorandum to District Administration, seeking security outside private coaching centers and their respective schools.
A large number of students took out protest march in the main market demanding stern action against Delhi gang rape accused. Later, they reached the District Police office and submitted a memorandum to SP Rajouri. They alleged that outside tuition centers, some goonda elements often harass and tease the girls. The girls do not find them safe under such circumstances. They also demanded security near Schools during the morning and school off timings. The SP assured the girls to deploy policemen in plain clothes and uniform at such places and take strict action against the eve-teasers.
