KATHUA, July 24: A 17 year old girl made an abortive bid to end her life by hanging herself at her residence in Durang in Billawar tehsil of Kathua district. But alert parents detected it in the nick of time and brought her to Billawar Hospital where from she was shifted to GMC Jammu for treatment. The girl was identified as Tahira Begum, 17, D/o Mohamed Iqbal of Durang. A case under relevant sections of law was registered in PS Billawar.
