RAJOURI, Dec 4: A minor girl was knocked to death by a vehicle near Rajouri this evening.
The deceased has been identified as 11-year-old, Asia, daughter of Nissar Ahmed, resident of Thandi Kassi. The girl was moving along the road when a speeding Tata Mobile vehicle No. JK11B/0579 hit her from back side. The people immediately gathered on the spot. The vehicle driver stopped the vehicle and ran away from the spot.
The girl with serious injuries was rushed to District Hospital, Rajouri, where doctors declared her as brought dead. The police seized the vehicle and started manhunt for the absconding driver.
Meanwhile, the people held protest demanding immediate arrest of the absconding driver.
