POONCH, Dec 13: A minor girl was crushed to death by a Tata Sumo vehicle in Mendhar area of district Poonch today.
The deceased has been identified as Nargis Bi (6), daughter of Mohammed Asif, resident of village Banola in Mendhar tehsil. The mishap took place when the girl with her mother arrived at her village Banola from Mendhar town at round 10.45 am in Tata Sumo. They both boarded off the vehicle (No JK08/ 9918).
The driver moved ahead for next destination and the girl was crushed under the left front wheel of the same vehicle.
She was rushed to Sub District Hospital Mendhar where doctors declared her as brought dead. The body after post-mortem was handed over to the family. The police has taken cognizance of the matter. The vehicle has also been seized.
