JAMMU, Feb 20: A young girl today made an abortive attempt on her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence at RS Pura.
According to a police spokesperson, the girl has been identified as Rajni Devi (20) daughter of Basu Ram, a resident of RS Pura. As soon as the family members noticed the girl in unconscious condition, they shifted her to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where her condition was stated to be stable, he added.
However, it was not known why she took this extreme step. The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter.
