REASI, July 9: A teen aged girl committed suicide by hanging herself from a tree in backyard of her house at Baldanu in Chinkah, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Arnas.
The deceased has been identified as Pooja Devi (18), daughter of Sansar Singh. She was found hanging with her Dupatta from a Guava tree. The family members shifted her to hospital where doctors declared her as brought dead.
Cause behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
Meanwhile, Police has failed to trace the girl, who was allegedly kidnapped from Sawalakote Arnas on July 2. The victim, identified as Monika Devi, daughter of Kalyan Singh of Sawalakote, was allegedly kidnapped by four youth when she had gone to a nearby field for cutting grass.
As per the complaint lodged by the family members, the persons involved in this kidnapping were identified as Haroon Ahmad, Maraj Din, Khoaj Din and Rehmat Ali. All are the resident of Ramban.
