Girja’s spiritual book ‘Laagi Lagan Guru Charnan Ki’ released

JAMMU, Apr 5: The spiritual book ‘Laagi Lagan Guru Charnan Ki’, written by well known spiritual singer, composer, poetess and author of Kashmir, Girja Pandit, was released today at a simple but impressive function organized by All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) here at KL Saigal Hall.
The book was released by Vice Chancellor of Central University of Jammu, Prof Ashok Aima, who while speaking on the occasion, said, “Such religious books help the society in keeping calm and devoting time to learn about the great spiritualism of Kashmir.
He also lauded the efforts of APMCC for its multipronged activities to preserve the rich cultural traditions and literature of Kashmiri Pandits.
Speaking on the occasion, Omkar Nath Shastri dwelt at length on the spiritual aspects of the book and need to preserve such spiritual culture of KPs.
King Bharati said that Girja Pandit has made a mark and name in the world of devotional singing and cut many melodious devotional albums in different genres like Kashmiri, Sufi, Ghazals and patriotic songs.
Prominent among those who attended the function were MK Yogi, Som Nath Saraf, Kapal Mochan, Arya Ramesh, Kuldeep Pandita, Sanjay Dhar, Yoginder Singh Jamwal and Pinki Bhat, a disciple of Girja Pandit.
