UDHAMPUR, Sept 17: Global Human Rights Trust (GHRT) India, in collaboration with Rashtriya Institute of Technology & Management (RITM), launched a campaign here today to enhance road safety and reduce accidents in Udhampur District.
This impactful campaign was inaugurated today by SSP Udhampur, Dr Vinod Kumar, and the Chairman and Founder of GHRT INDIA, Dr HR Rehman.
Distinguished members from various organizations, including Amit Nayyar, Director GHRT; Ganesh Dass, District President; Suhail Khokher, District Vice President, among others also joined the campaign.
A statement said that the primary goal of this campaign is to educate the community about traffic regulations and foster safe driving habits. By doing so, the organizers hope to significantly reduce road accidents and ensure public safety. In this endeavor, they are seeking support from the police department for a vehicle to expand the reach of their awareness efforts.
Addressing the pressing concern of road accidents, the organizers have planned to distribute free crash helmets to young individuals while imparting knowledge about traffic rules and regulations.
