Ghagwal police rescues 19 bovine animals

Samba, Feb 11: In its continuous drive against the bovine smuggling, a Police Party of Police Station Ghagwal during early this morning, foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued 19 bovines.
A police party of PS Ghagwal headed by SI Rajeshwar Singh, SHO Ghagwal under the directives of SSP Samba, Anil Magotra, laid a naka checking at NHW Tapyal.  During the naka it signalled a truck bearing Registration. No. JK02BL- 6685 coming from Kathua side to stop.
On seeing police party, the driver tried to flee from the spot but after chase the driver abandoned the vehicle at Jatwal and escaped from the spot. During checking of the vehicle, 19 bovines were found laden inside the vehicle, which were being transported illegally.  The vehicle and the bovine animals were seized on spot. In this regard a case FIR No. 28/2018 Under Section 188/RPC, 2/3 PCA Act, has been registered at Police Station Ghagwal and investigation started to nab the driver.
The naka was laid under the close supervision of Deepak Digra, Dy.SP Hqrs Samba.
