SAMBA, June 16: Continuing its drive against the bovine smugglers and their propagators, district police Samba under the supervision of SSP Samba, Dr. Abhishek Mahajan, successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle bovines by rescuing 14 animals in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Ghagwal.
Acting on an information received from reliable sources regarding illegal transportation of bovines, a police party of PS Ghagwal near Naka Tapyal, Ghagwal NHW intercepted a truck bearing Registration No. JK02AT/4957 for checking.
During checking the truck, 14 bovines were found laden inside the vehicle which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported without proper permission.
In this regard, a case FIR No.89/2022 U/S 188 IPC 11 PCA Act registered at PS Ghagwal and investigation started.
