JAMMU, June 18: Govt. Gandhi Memorial (GGM) Science College here today organized an alumni meet which began with the lightening of ceremonial lamp by the chief guest, Dr. Ravender Kumar Tickoo, Principal of the College.
Purpose of the meet was to interact with alumni, collect feedback on the Governance and to formulate Alumni Association.
Dr. Sanjeev Goswami, Convener Alumni Committee welcomed the guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Tickoo spoke on the need for constitution of Alumni Association and mentioned about the alumni which the College has produced over the last 100 years.
Dr. Rakesh Gupta, Coordinator IQAC gave a glance on historical growth of the institution including various development projects under process and new initiatives taken up by the College administration.
Alumni excelling in the fields of academics, industry, corporate section, judiciary etc enthusiastically participated in the event.
Ajay Khajuria (Bharti Airtel) deliberated upon the strategy to be adopted and Rajesh Bhushan, Senior Advocate explained bylaws for constitution of College Alumni Association.
Arvind Sharma, CJM Samba, Vinay Kumar Sharma, Corporate Executive, Gagan Slathia, Manager Bharti Airtel, Dr. Sunil Gupta, Controller BOPEE, Sidharth Mahajan, Marketing Head and Bhopinder Singh Sasan, Inspector JKP online interacted with the College administration and gave their suggestions for the formulation of Alumni Association.
The whole event was coordinated by College Alumni Committee comprising Dr. Poonam Kamotra, Dr. Vandana Khajuria, Prof. Shrdha Anand, Dr. Jagjit Singh, Dr. Saurabh, Prof. Artee Heer and Prof. Asha Sharmhal.
Vote of thanks was given by Prof. Shrdha Anand while students-Shakhu Sharma and Aarzoo Anand also coordinated.
