GEWJAC projects workers’ demands

SRINAGAR, July 10: J&K Government Employees and Workers Joint Action Committee (GEWJAC)(R) projected the pending issues of the State employees.
In a meeting of the body held under the chairmanship of Babu Hussain Malik, State president, the members discussed the pending demands of the employees and workers. The employees from Unions/ Association raised various demands which include removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre, release of pending 6% DA on the pattern of Central Government, increase of Medical allowances, dislocation allowance to all officials who are posted outside their home district, regularization of daily rated workers/contractual employees and Anganwari workers, provision of change of designation/cadre and merger of 50% DA into basic pay.
The meeting urged upon the concern authorities to solve the problems of employees at the earliest.
