Get addicted to success: Naeem to students

SRINAGAR, June 2: Minister of Education Naeem Akhtar today asked the children to get addicted to success and focus on ambitions and achieve new heights of success in their lives.
He was speaking at a Musical Event titled ‘A Hope To Live,’ aimed at Drug De-Addiction and Rehabilitation. The Minister said that the menace of drug addiction can be tackled by countering it with addiction of success, perfection and other positive things.
Citing the example of academic toppers, the Minister said that such students made education their addiction and the same prevented any bad habit creeping into them.
“If a student is not good in academics he can be good in art or something else. He needs to find it, focus on it and achieve the heights of success in that particular field,” said Akhtar to the audience comprising mostly of students from various schools.
The Minister said that life is the biggest gift of Allah and everybody should treat it preciously and try to exploit its full potential in a way that will become an inspiration for others. He urged the students to build stonewalls of good qualities around them that will keep them away from any bad habit.
“Centuries ago some of our genius forefathers improvised a certain fabric and that resulted in the creation of world famous Cashmere fabric. And now it has become our identity all around the world, because we perfected it,” he said
The event was organized by New Line Cinema in collaboration with J&K Police. Incharge Drug De-Addiction centre Dr Muzaffar Khan said that the Centre is being upgraded to 20 bedded hospital in next three years. He urged the parents and teachers to keep watch on their children and be involved in their lives at every stage.
