SAMBA, Nov 14: The Geology and Mining Department team today seized two vehicles which were found involved in illegal mining at Balole Nallah, Bari Brahmana in district Samba today.
As per the directions of the district administration, Samba and imposition of Section 144 in river area, Geology and Mining team soon after getting information that some private vehicles have started illegal mining in the Batote Nallah they swung into action and seized two tippers near the Nallah in Bari Brahman area of district Samba.
The team was led by district Mineral Officer (DMO), Samba, Vishal Dogra along with SHO, Bari Brahmana. The two tippers seized by them were bearing registration numbers JK021B – 0586 and JK02AC- 6616.
District Mining Officer, Samba, Vishal Dogra said the Department has warned many times to the mining mafia to avert illegal mining but they still indulge in illegal activity. The Department will continue the drive against the illegal mining in future too.
He further warned the owners of vehicles that if anybody was found violating the norms strict action under rules will be taken against him.
