JAMMU, Aug 11: General Line Teachers Forum has criticized the politicians, who are resenting the Government move on screening of the Rehbar-e-Taleem and verification of their educational qualification.
A meeting of the Forum was held under the chairmanship of Neeraj Sharma, State president, who appreciated the Education Minister for taking steps to streamline the system. He also condemned the alleged wrong policies of previous Government, which created a wide gulf between the teachers just to earn political gain. He urged the union leaders and political leaders to support the Education Minister who has pious and sincere vision of making the Education system free from corruption, deadwoods and thereby raising the standard and quality of education in State.
“Those who are opposing the screening test, are incompetent and enemy of teaching community,” Neeraj Sharma said and alleged that the recent decline in standard of education is totally attributed to the unconventional engagement of ReTs teachers.
The GLTF asked the Education Minister to go ahead with his initiatives so that the lost image and respect of teachers could be retrieved and restored in the present society.
