General Category People’s Forum pins hope on LG for redressal of issue

JAMMU, Aug 10: General Category People’s Forum Jammu Kashmir (GCPF-JK) has hoped that Manoj Sinha as Lt Governor of J&K would undo the certain decisions taken by the U T administration against the wishes and aspirations of Jammu people.
“We are hopeful that the new Lt Governor would immediately address the grievances related to setting up of Toll Plazas around Jammu city, having fees and fines, rampant corruption, neglect of common masses, restoration of Statehood Status and installation of popular Government through peoples’ participation,” said Prof Yash Paul Sanson, president of the Forum, while addressing a meeting of the GCPF.
Som Nath Sharma, General Secretary of the Forum, also hoped that under the mature leadership of Mr Sinha, caste based discriminations, special privileges and concessions would be ended and the poor, needy and deserving families would be provided economic support through ‘Cash Assistance Relief’ (CAR). The issues confronting the people, employees, pensioners, farmers, labourers, traders and unemployed youth would be redressed. The golden principle of ‘Equal Rights and Equal Laws for All’ would be agenda of UT administrations, he added.
Madan Lal Abrol, Gen Secretary of All JK State Pensioners Association, who was also present in the meeting, appealed to the Lt Governor for the redressal of long pending demands of the pensioners, on priority basis which included, release of freezed DA installments, enhancement of Medical allowance, free medical treatment besides free Health Insurance of Rs 5 lakhs of each pensioners.
