Geelani leaves for Delhi

Srinagar, Feb 6: Hardline Hurriyat chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani today left for New Delhi to have his detailed medical check-up in National Capital.
A spokesman of Geelani’s amalgam said the 87-year old separatist politician’s health has been badly affected due to continued house arrests here and in Delhi he could freely practice over the advices of the doctors.
“The house arrest process of Geelani had entered in 6th year and this illegal confinement had badly impacted his health condition over these years and this condition is worsening day by day”, the spokesman said.
“Despite being under the house detention, Geelani used to walk in his personal lawn in warm season but it couldn’t become possible in cold season so his house confinement proved detrimental for his health and he is not keeping well with his health since last one and a half month,” said the spokesman.
