UDHAMPUR, Feb 27: MLA Ramnagar, RS Pathania today called for developing Government Degree College (GDC) Ramnagar, as an institute of higher learning, research and self-discipline.
He was on visit to GDC Ramnagar, where he had in depth interactions with the students and staff of the college. Pathania also said that the College situated in the picturesque landscape of Ramnagar needs to be developed on high tech lines so that it could produce students of substance and character.
While responding to local demands of additional class rooms, lecture rooms and auditorium, washrooms for science blocks and sports facilities for girl students, introduction of additional subjects, he promised to take up the issues with concerned authorities and get them redressed at the earliest.
He also promised to provide an upgraded computer lab and canteen facilities in the college premises. He also announced Rs one lakh out of his CDF for provision of sports material to the college students.
Pathania also informed the students that a high class sports stadium with state of art facilities – synthetic football court/ground, volley ball courts, handball courts and badminton court is going to be set up in Ramnagar very soon.
