UDHAMPUR, Apr 12: A simple but impressive function was organized today in Government Degree College Ramban to disburse financial aid among students belonging to weaker sections of the society.
Prof Yudhvir Singh, principal of the College, was the chief guest on the ocassion.
An amount of Rs 96500 was disbursed as financial aid for current session among 35 students belonging to Orphan, PWD, BPL and Antodya categories through their bank accounts.
Twenty-two students belonging to BPL category were paid an amount of Rs 55000 @ Rs 2500 per head, six students belonging to Antodya category were paid an amount of Rs 18000 @Rs 3000 per head, two students belonging to PWD category were paid Rs 6000 and five students belonging to Orphan category were paid an amount of Rs 17500 @ Rs 3500 per head.
Besides staff and students, the function was attended by Prof SA Ganai, Dr PS Manhas and Prof OR Katoch.
