KATHUA, Dec 3: NSS and NCC units of GDC Billawar organized a lecture and free medicines distribution camp for the students and teachers of the College. The programme was inaugurated by the Principal, Prof. Anita Jamwal.
A lecture was delivered by Dr. Sabitya Thakur on the prevalence of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) like cardio vascular diseases, chronic respiratory diseases, cancer and diabetes in the society. She said that NCD are the major cause of deaths in the world.
Dr. Indu Sharma made aware the gathering about the medicines available in the ISM Department for the treatment of these diseases.
The camp was organized by Assistant Prof. Yash Paul, NSS PO, Dr. Rajni NCC CT. Associate Professor, Lekh Raj, Assistant Professors Raman Kumar, Dr. Pinkey and Dr. Sunil Dutt were also present on the occasion.
