JAMMU, Nov 20: Department of Psychology, Government College for Women, Parade Jammu, hosted a guest lecture on the topic `Mental health among youth’, delivered by Dr Gurmeet Kour, Incharge Police Drug De-addiction and Rehabilitation Centre.
Dr Gurmeet Kour covered the topic on various issues concerning mental health, like stress, depression, examination phobia etc, which youth of today are facing in the competitive world. She also interacted and performed activities with the students as to how distress. She also answered various queries raised by the students.
Principal of GCW Parade, Dr Hemla Aggarwal said that such programmes should be organized on regular basis for the benefit of students.
Earlier, a welcome address was given by HoD Psychology, Dr Ravinder Kour. Faculty members, including Dr Piyali Arora, Dr Palak Malhotra and Prof Silony Chirag were present on the occasion. Vote of thanks was presented by a student.
