GCF releases Jawahar Bhat’s “Lal Ded- revisited”

JAMMU, Jan 15: Gulshan Cultural Forum (GCF), Kashmir today released a book titled ‘Lal Ded—revisited’ penned by prominent writer, Jawahar Lal Bhat during a function organized here at KL Saigal Hall of the Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.
The book was formally released by prominent scholar and writer, Mohammad Yousuf Taing who was the chief guest of the function. A galaxy of scholars from Srinagar and Jammu were also present at the function.
The function was presided over by the well known writer Brij Nath Betab.
Syed Bashir Kousar, the president of the Forum while welcoming the guests, talked in detail about the contents of the book. Papers were presented on the book by Avtar Krishan Mota and Ayaz Raasool Nazki.
Gulshan Badarni, general secretary of the Forum carried out the proceedings of the function. Prominent Dogri writer, Ved Kumari Ghai, Dr KL Choudhary and few others shared their views about the book. A “Khilat” was also presented to Jawahar Lal Bhat by the Forum.
The function concluded with vote of thanks by Ghulam Hassan Baba.
Among the prominent personalities present in the function were Prof Shad Ramzan, Mir Afroz, Dr Agnishekher, Satish Vimal, Dr Arvinder Singh Aman, Khursheed Khamosh, Latief Niyazi, Nisar Azam, Maqbool Shaida, PN Shad, Ghulam Nabi Shaheen, Syed Mohi ud Din Tahir and Idrak Naseem.
