JAMMU, Aug 9: Residents of Gazipur Kullian organized a meeting, which was presided over by Congress leader and MLC BR Kundal.
In the meeting, large number of people including women, youth and men folk participated. Besides some Sarpanchs namely Promila Bhagat, Vinod Sharma, Rajinder Singh, Bahadur Chand, Om Parkash, Janak Raj, Kulbir Choudhry, President Sarpanch Association, RS Pura, Banarsi Dass, BD Gorkha, Naib Sarpanchs and Panchs, president Youth Congress RS Pura Khushwant Singh, general secretary Shamsher Lal, Bhukhu Ram president Lamberdar Association along with other Lamberdars were also present.
While speaking, people raised issues like deteriorated condition of lanes and drains, link roads rising corruption, etc.
Speaking on the occasion, Kundal assured the public that their genuine demands will be redressed soon. He also sought vote for the Congress party in the forthcoming Assembly elections. He also advised the public to rise above petty politics and caste considerations, to elect a genuine and honest representative, who works for the welfare of the people.
