UDHAMPUR, Dec 15: For maintaining proper hygiene and cleanliness in the town, Municipal Council Udhampur launched a drive to install garbage dumpers in different wards of the town.
The drive was launched by the District Development Commissioner, Yasha Mudgal who was accompanied by IAS Probationer, Rajindra Kumar and prominent citizens of the town.
The DDC disclosed that as many as 20 dumpers have been procured for dumping the garbage which was being dumped in open along the road sides in the town. These garbage dumpers will definitely help in face lifting of the town, she maintained. She said that sites have been identified and necessary instructions were already issued to the Executive Officer of Municipal Council.
She directed the Executive Officer for ensuring that the dumpers are made empty on regularly basis so that the people residing nearby don’t face any problems in disposing their garbage.
