REASI, Mar 5: Continuing the drive against drug abuse Reasi Police today arrested three persons and recovered 1.150 kgs banned drugs and illicit liquor today
Official sources said that police during surprise nakas in the district booked three peddlers and recovered 1.150 kg of banned drug (Ganja) and 60 bottles of illicit liquor from their possession.
Team of Police Station Katra led by Insp Sunil Sharma, under the supervision of Kuljeet Singh SDPO Katra during surprise checking at Serli post stopped one scooty bearing registration number JK 14 H-7058 coming from Panthal towards Katra and recovered 1.150 Kg Ganja like substance from his possession. Peddler identified as Suraj, son of Indru Ram from Serwad in tehsil Katra was arrested. A case FIR No. 69/2022 was registered against him.
In another incident Mahore police during naka near Dak Bungalow led by SHO Jasvinder Choudhary noticed suspicious movement and intercepted and booked two persons namely Mumtaz Ahmed, son of Ahmed Din from Mahore and Mohd Ashraf , son of Majid from Mahore and recovered 60 bottles of illicit liquor 750 ml each from their possession. A case FIR No. 11/2022 US 48(a)(f )50 Excise Act was registered at Police Station Mahore against them.
