Ganga visits Chakaan-da-Bagh TFC, reviews pace of construction works

POONCH, May 5: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga today visited Chakaan- da- Bagh Trade Facilitation Centre (TFC), Poonch to review the progress of second phase of construction works on various components including work on fifty bedded barracks, dormitory, compound walls, medical centre and parking facilities which are being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 10.25 crore.
The Minister took a detailed assessment of infrastructure damaged due to recent cross border shelling. He directed the executing agencies to pace up the construction works including repair of damaged infrastructure as early as possible so that trade activities may not suffer.
He also reviewed the volume of cross border bilateral trade between the two countries and sought detail report from Custodian Chakaan- da -Bagh in this regard.
He asked the officers to create entrepreneur friendly atmosphere by plugging loop holes for giving a fillip to various economic activities in the area.
The Minister was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Gurvinderjeet singh, General Manager DIC, Tilak Raj Thapa, Custodian TFC Chakaan-da-Bagh, Tanveer Ahmed, Executive Engineer PWD, Mushtaq Ahmad Raina, Assistant Executive Engineer, Aftab Anwar, Assistant Engineer and other concerned officers during the tour.
