Ganga takes stock of people’s issues

SAMBA, Oct 20: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash today toured Nandpur area in Vijaypur Assembly constituency and attended a grievance redressal camp there.
He was accompanied by DDC Sheetal Nanda, SSP Anil Magotra, ACD Sushil Attri, SDM Ravinder Sharma, CMO Dr Rajinder Samyal, BDO Mukesh Sharma, XENs Ashok Gupta, Surinder Kumar Abrol , Er K.S Nathyal from PDD , PHE , PWD respectively and district officers from various departments.
The programme was organised as part of public outreach programme to redress the grievances of general public. The people raised issues mainly pertaining to health infrastructure upgradation, regular transport facility, improvement of roads and basic amenities.
Speaking on the occasion, Ganga urged officials to work with commitment and dedication and timely sort out problems faced by the border people. He informed that blacktopping works of various roads will be taken up in few days including 01 km Khour Salarian to Defence Ditch under BADP at Rs 50 lakh, 20 km  Link road to Shamshan Ghat from Khour Salarian  and Village Kotli Matkalian link road.
He added that under ‘City and Town’ scheme black topping work on one km Hira Chack to Chack Chataka road will be taken up at the cost of Rs 20 lakh.
Later, the Minister inaugurated various works being executed in convergence with MGNREGA. These works included lanes/drains, boundary wall and tile flooring of school library.
