SAMBA, May 15: Member Legislative Assembly and former Minister, Chander Prakash Ganga, today inaugurated several development works in different areas of Vijaypur constituency besides launching Rs. 28 lakh blacktopping work on a road from Deshmukh Nagar to Khanpur via Khanpur camp.
The MLA inaugurated five lanes and drains constructed with Rs. 12 lakh at village Khanpur camp besides inaugurating upgraded transformers from 25 KVA to 63 KVA and 63 KVA to 100KVA at village Khanpur, from 100 KVA to 250 KVA at Ward No. 12 Vijaypur and from 250 KVA to 400 KVA at Bari Brahmna town.
Ganga, while speaking on the occasion, assured the people that the Government would be able to ensure round the clock power supply. He dwelt on measures being taken up to provide adequate power supply to the people during the scorching heat of this summer season in the Winter Capital. He also appealed the people to make judicious use of power and water supply to ensure that they do not suffer on this account in any season.
Listing the achievements of present dispensations at the Center and the State, the MLA extolled that both the Governments are working hard to ensure that every potential area of Jammu and Kashmir is explored and developed to the optimum so that it could become a model State in the country. He said that the Government is earnestly working towards expanding the network of all basic amenities to the last part and person of the State with special emphasis on creation of durable assets like roads, bridges and other infrastructure. He also appreciated the people’s cooperation in this regard without which nothing can be accomplished that easily.
The MLA expressed hope that with the development of villages at par with urban parts the people who have migrated to cities for lack of proper facilities will return to their homes.
“Prime Minister has succeeded in translating his words into actions by ensuring empowerment of villages in terms of education, healthcare and related facilities as envisioned by him always”, the MLA maintained.
