Ganga convenes grievances redressal camp

JAMMU, June 3: Member Legislative Assembly and former Minister, Chander Prakash Ganga today convened a public grievances redressal camp at Channi, Swankha Morh to assess public issues besides reviewing status of development works being executed in the village.
During the camp, people from the village and adjoining areas projected various issues regarding development and welfare of their respective areas seeking an early redressal of the same.
Ganga, while elaborating on Modi Government’s vision and commitment of empowering villages with modern infrastructure and requisite facilities, assured the people that Channi will be developed as a model village and the process has been initiated in this regard. “Channi Manhasa is also one of the villages identified to be covered under Sobhagya scheme.
The MLA assured the villagers that all their issues pertaining to power supply would be redressed within a week’s time. He also said that the left out households in the village, which is SC and ST dominant area, would be identified and provided free LPG connections under Ujjwala. All the issues of the inhabitants of this village regarding road connectivity, education, healthcare, skill development training etc. have almost been resolved and the remaining are being processed.
“It is a matter of great satisfaction that the people of Vijaypur constituency have been brought under the ambit of all State and Centrally sponsored schemes”, the MLA maintained.
He said that the present dispensation is committed to look into and take up the public issues at the appropriate forum for redressal. He assured the people that all their issues have been recorded and would be taken up with the concerned for an early redressal, besides he asked the officers to take special care of issues raised by the people of this far off village and redress the same at the earliest.
The MLA also spelled out several initiatives of Modi Government and emphasized the need of taking these schemes to each section of the society. He also informed the people about various innovative schemes launched by the Central Government for welfare and development of poor and under privileged segments of the society thus empowering them socially, economically and politically as well.
“There is significant improvement in the basic amenities in the State with emphasis on rural and border areas like durable roads, better schools, improved lanes and drains, enhanced healthcare facilities”, he asserted.
