Ganga assesses crop losses, assures early compensation

JAMMU, Apr 28: Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Prakash Ganga today toured Jerda and Kotli Maralian villages in Ramgarh area of Samba district to assess the damage caused by fire to standing wheat crop.
The fire was caused due to short circuit which damaged wheat crop over 400 kanal land.
Interacting with the affected farmers, he assured that appropriate compensation under SDRF norms would be provided to them at the earliest. He also directed SDM Vijaypur to submit a detailed report of the losses.
The Minister was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Samba Sheetal Nanda.
