Gamesa bags new order

CHENNAI, Sept 18: Gamesa, subsidiary of Gamesa wind Turbines Pvt Ltd, has bagged a new order of 30MW from Indo-Rama Renewables, expanding its presence in Maharashtra.
The Chennai-based company in a statement here said it had signed an agreement with Indo-Rama Renewables, subsidiary of Indo-Rama Synthetics, to supply 15 units of its G97-2.0 MW wind turbines that would be erected  and commissioned at Jath in Maharashtra, a company statement said.
The announcement of bagging a project from Indo-Rama Renewables by Gamesa India, comes after the securing of a single largest 75MW order with ReNew Power, in Maharashtra.
“We greatly value the Indo-Rama Renewable deal as it further strengthens the Gamesa 2.0MW portfolio in Maharashtra”, Gamesa India, Chairman and Managing Director, Ramesh Kymal said.
According to him, Gamesa India contributes 14 per cent to the company’s group revenues. Gamesa has production centres across Europe, United States, China and Brazil, the statement added. (PTI)
