JAMMU, Nov 3:  Jammu Kashmir BJP spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, today said that the BJP Government led by Narendra Modi is committed to the development of the J&K and welfare of its people.
In a statement issued here, today Balbir made a dig at opposition parties for misleading the people and negating the development made by the J&K UT during over last six years of Modi Government. He said many developmental projects are under construction in J&K which will prove game changer after their commissioning.
He said laying of the e-foundation of Rs. 198.37 crore Centrally funded Mansar Lake Rejuvenation Project by Union MoS in PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh and Jammu Kashmir UT Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, will prove to be a multipurpose gift to Jammu on its completion.
While terming this prestigious project as another gift to Jammu by the Union Government under the able stewardship of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi he said it is also reflective of the concern of Union Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh towards development of the neglected region of Jammu for almost seven decades by the governments at the Centre and in the State, whose only priority in all mattes and at all levels had always been Kashmir.
Balbir Ram said that earlier the Union Government had taken into hand Devika Rejuvenation Project on the model of prestigious Namani Ganga Project and work on it is being  undertaken at a fast pace. “Within six years, Narendra Modi Government has now given second prestigious project of Mansar Rejuvenation Project, which will prove to be multipurpose Project,” Balbir said and added that on completion, it will promote tourism, boost conservation of water bodies and generate employment for the people.
He said that it is not only development of water bodies but sitting MP Dr. Jitendra Singh is working vigorously to get more and more projects of development for Jammu region, particularly for his Parliamentary Constituency, wherein numerous mega projects of road connectivity, healthcare, sports, tourism etc have already been completed or are near completion and there is no doubt that whatever has been given to Jammu during the last six years is record in itself and the people have realised what real development and welfare means.
Similarly, other two MPs of the party from Jammu region too are working whole heartedly to get more projects of development and welfare schemes for the socio-economic upliftment of the people, Balbir added.
