BHADERWAH, June 27: Police today busted a gambling den with the arrest of four persons including two Government employees and recovery of Rs 55,000 stake money and playing cards.
A police spokesman said that, on specific information, police team from Bhaderwah police station conducted a raid at Basti nallah area and arrested four persons, who were found gambling.
The accused have been identified as Mohammad Amin, son of Mohammad Rehman of Udrana, employee of Animal Husbandry, Mehboob Ahmed, son of Abdul Ganai of Pasri, employee of PDD, Vinod Kumar, son of Krishan Lal of Manthala and Rashid Shafi, son of Mohammad Shafi of Pasri, he said.
Police recovered Rs 55,000 stake money and playing cards from the spot, he added.
A case under Section 13 Gambling Act has been registered at Bhaderwah police station and investigation started.
Police team headed by SI Arun Slathia made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Bhaderwah B Manhas.
