JAMMU, Dec 29: “Putting to gallows the culprits of Delhi rape would be easy verdict, instead perpetrators of the heinous crime should be made to suffer. It is important to hang the mentality that makes every women insecure in the country. There is an urgent need for moral education that must begin from early years of every male child to treat every women with dignity and respect as given to mother and sister “.
Expressing deep shock over the death of Nirbhaya, the Delhi rape victim, Prachi Mishra, Ponds Femina Miss India 2012, was talking in a press conference organized by, Rajhwada Lux’re, Jammu, here today.
Prachi Mishra, the reigning Miss India 2012, who is on her maiden visit to winter capital in connection with north zone audition of Pond Femina Miss India, urged the young girls of Jammu and Kashmir to appear for audition for Ponds Femina Miss India contest 2013.
She said that being from a small city is no hindrance for aspiring to become a beauty queen. Priyanka Chopra was from Brailley and Prachi Mishra herself comes from the small town of Allahabad.
One need not to change to be one of the winners but “be your self, don’t change your personality by blindly following anybody, stay true, stay you, it is not about looks but all about substance” She said.
Talking about how her life changed after winning a prestigious contest like Miss India, she said, “one’s life changes overnight, and your family feel proud. It is like an ordinary person becoming a princess. You are special to everyone around you”.
Taking to Press, Ricky Roshan of Rajhwada Lux’er, Gandhi Nagar, said that the north zone audition for Ponds Femina Miss India 2013, being organized for the first time in Jammu, would be held on January 4, 2013.
