JAMMU, Jan 22: MLA RS Pura, Dr Gagan Bhagat today visited the Community Health Centre (CHC), RS Pura and inspected the working of OPD, Immunization Section, casualty, Paediatric ward, General Ward, Dental Section and Medicine Store.
The MLA directed the BMO to ensure proper dress code, cleanliness and punctuality of staff. Dr Gagan Bhagat also issued on spot instruction to the concerned officials to maintain a proper record and follow the guidelines of PCB regarding disposal of biomedical waste.
Ward in-charge was asked to explain her position where some expired injections (Ranitidine) were recovered near the female ward. The BMO was asked to order an enquiry into the matter and submit report within one week.
Later on, the new complex of 50 bedded hospital was also inspected by the MLA along with X-En Kewal Kumar, AEE Efzal Tanzeer who apprised him that the building with total funding of Rs 16.96 crores is being constructed by J&K Housing Board with funds from National Rural Health Mission.
X-En PDD informed Dr Gagan Bhagat that 24 hours hotline power supply will be soon completed within a couple of months.
Prominent among those who were present included BMO RS Pura, Des Raj, X-En PDD SDMRE (II), X-En J&K Housing Board, EO Municipality, RS Pura and Sanitary Inspector, RS Pura.
