JAMMU, May 19: MLA RS Pura, Dr Gagan Bhagat distributed relief ration to 71 flood affected families of thirteen wards of RS Pura.
While briefing the media persons, Dr Bhagat said the ration was distributed among the families that were affected in the flash floods and continuous rains few months back.
He said many poor people lost their kuchha houses in the recent flash floods and assured that the present coalition Government is committed to provide immediate relief to the deserving people.
The MLA directed the CAPD officials that 35 kilograms sanctioned ration should be available to the beneficiaries on time and assured people of timely availability of ration as per the sanctioned quota.
Dr Bhagat also assured the people to take strict action if any official of CAPD found indulged in any type of corruption or black-marketing of ration. He asked the general public to bring in his notice any unwanted act by the officials or dealers of fair price shops.
Prominent among those who were present included SDM RS Pura, Tehsildar RS Pura, AD CAPD, Joginder Singh, TSO RS Pura and TSO Miran Sahib.
