UDHAMPUR, Sept 9 : Udhampur district unit of Gaddi Sippi Students Union was constituted today with the elections of its office bearers during a meeting held at Government Degree College Udhampur.
Rahul Singh of Pancheri was unanimously elected as district president while Sanjay Kumar of Chapper was elected as general secretary, Jeevan Kumar of Latti as secretary and Ajay Kumar of Mandlote (Patnitop) as senior vice president. Madan Lal of Latti, Bhushan Kumar of Basantgarh, Ashok Singh of Barmeen and Pawan Singh of Pancheri were elected as vice- presidents while Naresh Kumar of Duddu was elected as media incharge.
The meeting for the election was held under the chairmanship of Parveen Jaryal, State president of All J&K Gaddi Sippi Tribes Welfare Association while district president of the Association, Shanker Chand was also present in this meeting.
On this occasion, the Association asserted that if Government fails to make the newly constructed Gaddi Sippi hostel at Udhampur functional before September 15, 2017, the Gaddi Sippi students of district Udhampur will launch a massive protest.
