UDHAMPUR, Jan 29: On the backdrop of recent developments in State Legislative Assembly  about the tribal community of J&K,   a meeting of All Jammu and Kashmir Gaddi Sabha was held  at the Dabarh-Park Udhmpur, here today.
The meeting was organized by Kuldeep Kumar,  Youth President of All Jammu and Kashmir Gaddi Sabha.   Speaking on the occasion, the community leader Hansraj  said that it was  very important to reconstitute the committees from Panchayat and village level so that the Sabha could  reach to each and every Gaddi. It was deliberated that Gaddi Sabha should be reconstituted at grass  root level
Founder secretary of All Jammu and Kashmir Gaddi Sabha, Balkrishan Charak discussed the detailed scenario of political development in the Legislative Assembly about the tribal community.  He  said that reply of the Tribal Affairs Minister was  not satisfactory as he  said that he was  making a Council of tribal communities,  including  those tribal groups which are already either in Development Council Leh or Kargil. “How a person can  be member of two Councils?  There should be  a separate Council  for Gaddis and Sippis only,” he stressed and alleged that the Government was  making fool of them as it was  including those groups into the Development Council who are not eligible
He also suggested that the Sabha should meet Chief Minister  so that issue can be  sorted out. “We have already been cheated by the Government for the last 20 years by including into STO other non scheduled tribe groups which are  Kashmiri and Muslims so that Hindu ST cannot take benefit of reservation,” he alleged and  appealed to all the Gaddis to be united and come to a single platform.
Kewal Krishan gave details of the achievements made by all Jammu and Kashmir Gaddi Sabha.
Those who attended the meeting, included  B K Charak, Kewal Krishan, Ram Prakash, Shakeen Singh, Tirath Ram, Mohan Prakash,, Ramesh Kumar, Tilak Raj, Prem Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Suresh Kumar, Om Prakash, Ramesh Kumar Khem Raj, Madan Lal, Sardar Singh, Pritam, Nek Ram, Santosh, Rajindr and others.
