GAD asks Civil Sectt staff to follow COVID behaviour

JAMMU, June 30: The Government today directed employees working in various departments of the Civil Secretariat to follow COVID appropriate behaviour and cautioned that any violations of rules will be treated as breach of Conduct Rules and disciplinary action including forfeiture of annual increment will be initiated against such employees.
In an order issued today, General Administration Department (GAD) Commissioner/Secretary Manoj Kumar Dwivedi said it has been observed that some employees working in various Departments of Civil Secretariat are not displaying COVID appropriate behaviour like social distancing norms, wearing face masks etc.
“This irresponsible behaviour on part of these employees not only endangers their own lives but also risks the lives of other employees working in the premises, an issue which has been viewed seriously by the authorities,” he said.
He called upon all employees working in the Civil Secretariat to follow COVID appropriate behaviour, wear face masks properly and adhere to social distancing norms saying violation in this regard will be treated as breach of Conduct Rules and disciplinary action including forfeiture of annual increment will be initiated against such employees.
