SRINAGAR : Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah termed the hike in petrol and diesel prices a “gift” by the Narendra Modi government to the people on its first anniversary.
In a tweet, Mr Abdullah, the working president of the main opposition National Conference (NC), said, to celebrate the 1st year of the “good days” government, please enjoy another huge fuel price hike. You are welcome. He said, I love how the people lecturing me on global oil price & dollar fluctuation did not remember any of this during the UPA Government.
Mr Abdullah was referring to hike in the petrol and diesel prices with effect from midnight last night. In another tweet on the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to China, Mr Abdullah said Looks like the terracotta warriors are going to follow the PM around for quite some time. (AGENCIES)
