JAMMU, Jan 15: In a shocking incident, a woman frustrated of taking care of her bed ridden husband murdered him.
This was stated by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu Tejinder Singh said while interacting with media persons here today.
He said that on January 9, a complainant namely Subash Kumari of Sector Number 4, Extension Sanjay Nagar, Digiana Jammu (native village Bishnah) along with her son-in-law Sahil Gupta and other neighbors of Sanjay Nagar, Digiana lodged a complaint at Police Post Digiana wherein she alleged that some unknown person(s) with mask entered the house and murdered her husband namely Sudesh Gupta (67) and looted Rs 50,000 cash.
He said that a case under FIR Number 8/19 under section 302, 452 and 382 RPC was registered and investigation started, adding that during the course of investigation, different evidences were collected and analyzed by the team of officers led by the SDPO City South Dr Sunniya Wani and Station House Officer, Police Station Gandhi Nagar, Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia.
“The leads pointed towards the wife of the victim namely Subash Kumari (76) and when put to sustained questioning, she admitted that she had killed her husband by throttling him”, said the SSP.
He further asserted the accused lady admitted that she killed her paralytic husband as she got frustrated due to his continuous ailment and the expenses on his treatment.
“She had recently sold her residential house of Sanjay Nagar near Deva Palace to Kulbir Singh of Rajouri for Rs 31 lakhs and the expenses of treatment were taking heavy share of this amount”, said SSP.
