JAMMU: In yet another truce violation Pakistan troops targeted Indian posts along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Pakistan troops last night at around 2125 hrs fired small arms and automatics at Indian posts in Mendhar Sector of Poonch,” S N Acharya, Jammu based officiating PRO, Ministry of Defence said.
He said, “the firing was effectively retaliated by our troops adding that no injury or casualty was reported in exchange of fire.”
Pakistani yesterday had fired small arms and violated the ceasefire in Mandi and Garhi sectors of Poonch while on September 15, the truce was violated by the neighbouring country in Mendhar sector.
