NEW DELHI, Mar 24:Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section improved by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following tight position of trucks amid busy cargo movements.
Transporters said besides increased movements of cargo movements, shortage of trucks in the market caused the rise in freight rates of some of the centres.
Delhi to Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Bengaluru rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 56,000, Rs 58,000 and Rs 61,000, respectively.
Rates to Mysore and Coimbatore freights also went up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 65,000 and Rs 69,000, respectively.
All other freight rates remained at overnight levels on some support.
