NEW DELHI, July 30: Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section declined by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following excess inquiries by truck operators against insufficient cargo movements.
Transporters said restricted cargo movements against easy availability of trucks mainly pulled down freight rates.
Delhi to Mumbai, Surat and Kolkata moved down by Rs 1000 each to Rs 28,000, Rs 27,000 and Rs 32,000.
Rates to Indore, Ludhiana and Patna also fell by Rs 1000 each to Rs 23,000, Rs 18,000 and Rs 29,000.
