NEW DELHI, Jan 13: Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section to select destinations declined by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following easy availability of trucks against cargo movements.
Transporters said besides restricted cargo movements, comfortable position of trucks in the markets mainly weighted on freight rates.
Delhi to Coimbatore, Hyderabad and Goa freight rates dropped by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 69,000, Rs.55,000 and Rs 57,000.
Rates to Surat, Ahmedabad, Kochi and Pune also moved down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 24,000, Rs 22,000, Rs 71,000 and Rs 28,000.
