Freedom of speech

Sir,
For centuries of slavery and subjugation, Indians suffered, the need for fundamental rights was directly felt by the top leaders of our country, and consequently, with other rights, freedom of speech was also included in the constitution to enable the citizens to express their views freely. But the trouble starts when people start misusing it and hesitate not even to abuse the leaders of national status like PM and CMs. Only to meet their political agenda, indecency in speech, is exercised by political leaders, either to gain political mileage or express their frustration, especially during elections or in Parliamentary sessions. They not only criticise others, but also play devisive tactics which carry highly detrimental consequences and repurcussions in the society. Abusing and criticising others for own interest, is undesirable even in our common life, then downgrading the national leaders, becomes extremely shameful.
The head hangs in disgrace when in Media houses, filthy languages are spoken to stress one’s views. In a civilised society, restraints are needed not to hurt any one. Parties come and go, Govts are formed and dissolved, but morality never dies, and immoral politicians never do good to the society. Hence, certain code of conduct in speech and behaviour of such politicians, is imperatively needed, so that in the galaxy of civilised nations, we aren’t humbled.
