Free ration has ensured food for all: Randhawa

JAMMU, Sept 21: Free ration under Pradhan Mantri Gareeb Kalyan Anna Yojna (PMGKAY) has ensured food for all amid ongoing COVID-19 pandemic which has thrown life out of gear and left thousands of families’ jobless which were unable to meet both ends of the life. “It was said by Ch. Vikram Randhawa, former Member Legislative Council (MLC) and State secretary, BJP JKUT who is also the convenor of PMGKAY while distributing free ration in Narwal Panchayat.
While addressing the beneficiaries of the scheme, Randhawa said that the Government of India led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi sensing the gravity of the situation launched this scheme to provide free ration to the helpless and poor people amid pandemic. He said that no one should sleep hungry in whatever circumstances come their way and BJP is committed to provide all possible assistance to the poor and downtrodden section of the society.
He further said that there are numerous welfare schemes for the particular section of the society and they should be made aware so that they may avail its benefit in the best possible way. He urged upon the party cadres to work hard to win the hearts of the people and ensure proper implementation of the welfare schemes particularly PMGKAY.
The beneficiaries of the scheme expressed their gratitude to the former MLC and the Bhartiya Janata Party especially Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Others who were present on the occasion include Councillor Neeraj Puri, Mandal President Hari Om, Nayan Gupta, Amit Gupta, Rachit Khosla, Vishal Gupta, Davinder Singh and Manohar Lal.
