JAMMU, Nov 26: Hari Prabhu Sansthan (HPS) through Rotary Club Udhampur under the programme of “Rotary Gift of life” conducted the free heart surgery for three year old Nikhil, son of Baldev Singh of village Kohnu, tehsil Billawar at Escorts Hospital Delhi.
Nikhil was suffering from congenital heart disease and his poor parents could not afford the cost of the surgery, which involved expenses up to Rs 3 lakh.
The kid was screened for heart surgery during the screening camp held at Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar in the month of August by Rotary International.
General secretary of the Sansthan SC Gupta assured the family of financial help in meeting the post operative expenses required for medical treatment.
