KATRA, Oct 9: Grand decorations have been done at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan, Atka and the area surrounding it for the large number of pilgrims visiting the holy shrine during ongoing Navratras. The decorations are made with indigenous-foreign fruits and flowers, as well as huge reception doors and pandals, etc. have been installed in the Bhawan area. Likewise, the illumination of the Bhawan area with attractive and colourful lights has also been done.
The tracks leading to the Shrine have also been decorated with exquisite fresh flowers of varied varieties. The breathtaking and festive decorations are a special visual delight for pilgrims who trek about 12km from Katra to Bhawan.
Besides, elaborate arrangements have also been made for the pilgrims visiting the Holy Shrine. These include ensuring round the clock water and power supply all along the tracks and in the Bhawan Area, Sanitation and Sanitisation and utmost cleanliness, medicare and availability of special “fast related” food at the catering outlets of the Shrine Board. The Shrine Board has also made arrangements for free food for the pilgrims at Tarakote Marg and Prasad Kendra at Sanjichhat.
CEO Shrine Board, Ramesh Kumar is constantly reviewing and monitoring the arrangements all along the track and in the Bhawan area and interacting with the pilgrims enquiring about the facilities made by the Shrine Board to facilitate them.
